Dear all,
We would like to use this opportunity to invite you to submit paper and poster abstracts to our session at CAA 2013 in Perth, Western Australia. The session is entitled “Open source methods and practices in heritage and archaeology” and we are aiming to involve a broad audience of archaeologists employing open source software and methods either on a daily basis or for specific projects and purposes. We are interested to hear your success stories, but critical reviews are also welcome.We do not have a specific focus, but are open to all reports on open source software used by you.
The format of this session is the focus-session, which allows each speaker to present for 5 minutes, with a subsequent discussion and a breakout session in which we will include the submitted posters. We are hoping that this would appeal in particular to those of you presenting your work in other sessions at the same conference.
